Bristol weather is amongst the warmest one can hope to find in the UK. Situated in the south of the country 120 miles west of London and 5 miles east of the Atlantic Ocean, Bristol is one of the UK’s largest cities and is also considered amongst its sunniest. Thanks to the fine weather patterns that dominate, during July the city comes alive courtesy of the Bristol Harbour Festival which attracts well over 200,000 visitors each year. Apart from an amazing display of ships from around the world that are docked at the city’s harbour, the festival offers a host of activities that covers everything between live music to water displays, and street theatre to fireworks. September sees the city’s skies become full of colour and shapes, as Bristol plays host to an International Kite Festival.
Winter Bristol weather during winter (November right through to March) is characteristically cold, frosty and wet. Average temperatures are between lows of 3°C and highs of 7°C, snow fall is rare but does occasionally occur from mid-November through to mid-April.
